  7. This is my attempt at resource tracking, version 0.1 beta.
  8. The package consists of three programs:
  9. - "rt" patches the OS to keep track of various resources. What
  10.   distinguishes rt from other programs of the sort is the fact
  11.   that a change in the config file is all that is needed to track
  12.   a new type of resource.
  13. - "rtFreeResources" selectively gives orphan resources back to the
  14.   system.
  15. - "rtList" displays various summaries of rt's tracking lists
  16.  
  17. V0.1 beta is the first release and very likely to contain bugs.
  18. Up to now it hasn't caused me any crashes though, neither have I
  19. found any enforcer hits caused by rt. Nevertheless I refuse all
  20. responsibility for anything that happens to your
  21. computer/brain/mother-in-law/whatever as a result from using this
  22. software. It works fine on my system - if it doesn't on yours, just
  23. send me a bugreport and I'll consider fixing it :-)
